About dibbzr

Creators own surfaces that everyone sees and nobody sells: the bracketed tag in a podcast episode's title, the pinned comment under a video, the tag in a stream title. dibbzr lets a creator auction one of those surfaces, per publish — the auction closes the moment the episode drops or the stream goes live, the winner's words go in the surface, and the price is printed right there in public.

Three rules hold everywhere: losing bidders are never charged (bids place a card hold that's released the instant you're outbid), creators vet every winner (declining is one click and refunds the buyer in full), and winners are always disclosed.

FAQ — for bidders

When am I actually charged?

Only if you win, and only at the close. Placing a bid authorizes a hold on your card; if someone outbids you, the hold is released immediately (banks can take a day or two to make that visible in your app, but the money never left).

What's with the clock jumping at the end?

Bids in the final minutes extend the close — the anti-snipe rule. The clock is server-side; nobody can beat it by refreshing fast.

The creator declined my bid. Why?

Creators can decline any bid — their name is on it. Declined while the auction is still open, your hold is simply released (you were never charged) and bidding continues. Declined after you won, you're refunded in full, automatically.

What can't I bid with?

No crypto/NFT, gambling, supplements or health claims, get-rich schemes or courses, political, adult, or financial products — on any surface, ever. Attempting it wastes your bid; the creator will decline it.

What does it cost?

Nothing up front, and nothing if nobody bids. When an auction clears, dibbzr keeps a share of the winning bid (currently 20% on podcast title auctions and 15% on pinned-comment auctions; stream-title auctions are 0% during launch). Payouts are manual and fast while we're small — your share goes out within about 48 hours.

What if nobody bids?

Nothing happens: no charge to anyone, no fee, and the auction page never shows a sad empty state — before the first bid it just says bidding opens at your floor.

Do I need an account?

No. Creating an auction takes three fields and gives you two links: a public auction page and a private manage link. The manage link is your only key — we also email it to you the moment the auction goes live, so it's safe if you lose the tab.

What about my platform's sponsorship rules?

Disclosure is built into the flow, not left to memory: paid pins lead with "Sponsored ·" and the win flow requires YouTube's paid-promotion checkbox; stream-title auctions require Twitch's Branded Content disclosure; podcast title tags use a dedication format ("thanks to") because fans, not advertisers, are the bidders there. You physically can't copy the winning text until you've ticked the checklist.

Can I give the money to a cause?

Yes — when creating an auction you can pledge any percentage of the winning bid to a cause you name. The pledge shows on the auction page and in your launch post, and your manage page does the math at settlement. It's your pledge, honored through your payout.
