Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of dibbzr (the "Service"), operated at dibbzr.com. By creating an auction, placing a bid, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What the Service is

dibbzr lets creators ("Creators") auction placements on surfaces they control — such as a podcast episode title tag, a pinned comment, or a stream title tag — to bidders ("Bidders"). dibbzr operates the auction and payment mechanics; the Creator controls their own content and platforms and decides what ultimately gets published.

2. Bidding and payment

• Placing a bid authorizes a hold on your payment card for the bid amount, processed by Stripe. You must be authorized to use the card.
• If you are outbid, your hold is released promptly. Card networks may take several days to reflect the release on your statement.
• Only the winning bid is charged, at the auction's close. Holds not captured within 7 days expire; auction lengths are capped accordingly.
• Bids in the closing window extend the close time (anti-snipe). The server's clock is authoritative.
• All bids are commitments to pay if you win. Bid accordingly.

3. Creator review and refunds

• Creators review winning content before publishing it and may decline any winner for any reason. A declined winner is refunded in full.
• If a Creator fails to publish the winning placement within a reasonable time, contact us and we will refund the winning charge.
• Except as described above, completed winning charges are final.

4. Prohibited content and uses

The following may not be promoted through any bid or placement: crypto/NFT products, gambling, supplements or health claims, get-rich schemes and courses, political content, adult content, and financial products. Also prohibited: anything unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or that violates the rules of the platform the surface lives on. We and Creators may reject, cancel, or refund any bid that we reasonably believe violates this section, and may refuse service to repeat offenders.

5. Creator responsibilities

• You must control the surface you auction and comply with the terms and disclosure rules of your own platforms (for example YouTube's paid-promotion policy and Twitch's Branded Content tools). The Service provides disclosure checklists; completing them truthfully is your responsibility.
• Cause pledges are your personal commitment: if you pledge a percentage of a winning bid to a cause, you are responsible for honoring it from your payout. dibbzr displays your pledge but does not collect or remit charitable funds.
• Payouts of your share are made manually at this stage, normally within 48 hours of capture, to the payout method we agree with you. Fees are stated at auction creation and deducted from the winning bid.

6. Accounts and access

Bidders authenticate by email one-time codes; Creators receive a private manage link, which functions as a bearer key — anyone with the link can manage the auction, so keep it private. You must be at least 18 to use the Service.

7. The Service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep auctions honest and available, but the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, dibbzr's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the fees we earned from the auction in question or $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of Creators, Bidders, or third-party platforms.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above, and continued use after changes is acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Auctions in flight at termination are settled or refunded honestly.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of the operator's residence, without regard to conflicts of law. Questions and disputes: auctions@dibbzr.com.
